Button me until I choke
strangle me with a tie
cover up all my colours
and bury me in a lie
I’m liquefying in the sun
looking into dead eyes
as I firmly grasp limp wrists
and greet them with a smile
gritted teeth forced to speak
and they can’t tell I’m lying
every second I spend hiding
is another moment I’m dying.
Business.
