This is a new segment (I’m a game show host in my spare time) I thought I’d introduce. Instead of boring you with words, I thought I’d find new ways to bore you that I find interesting.
I love music. Playing, listening, collecting instruments, writing. My love for poetry comes specifically from lyrics. I spent my time as a kid reading encyclopaedias and finding new shit to learn, so unfortunately a lot of literature was missed, and music was always my way of connecting to words and story telling and seeing that words had the power to educate and move.
So I am, from time to time, going to post you the songs I wish that I had written. Some of them will be posted for their lyrics, their music or both. In no real order I guess, just whichever song I feel like posting. With a quick run down, and the lyrics as well. They will be linked as YouTube videos, so that I can post live stuff or alternate versions etc.
No specific genre’s, just songs that appeal to me. They’re probably not gonna be the best songs in the world, or the “best” song that particular artist has to offer. They’re just songs I love so much that I think “fuck… why didn’t I think of that?”
Thought I’d share them, maybe you’ll find something you like too. I hope so.
